Tiziano Summo is an Italian British contemporary artist & product designer based in London.
Tiziano creates surprising installations that examine the complex relationships between art and science, imperfection and geometry, life and death. With Mortality as a central theme in Tiziano’s work, he challenges contemporary belief systems and explores the uncertainties that lie at the heart of human experience.
His most recent series of work titled Light after death (2019-2020) pairs natural animal skulls with man-made geometric neon to create new profound meaning. Both beautiful and electrifying these functional light pieces evoke a romantic reminder of the inevitability of death - memento mori.
With a background in advertising and graphic design, Tiziano rejects the restraints of commercially driven creativity and approaches his personal craft with an infectious positivity, asking us all to embrace the uncomfortable. Because only by feeling uncomfortable can we evolve.
