Stefania Boiano
Bio:
I'm an Italian mixed-media artist working in painting and photography. I currently live and work in London, UK.
I have called the Northern light of England home since 2005. Prior to that I spent several years travelling always with camera and sketchbooks to record my experiences while looking out for colours, patterns, tiny inspirations to collect, expand upon and use in my art.
I’m inspired by patterns and motives from nature, from stones, bones, trees and water to the mountains, foliage, flowers and microorganisms as well as the visual dialogue between nature and the human body, and the marks that nature leaves on humans and humans leave on nature.
Teaching (qualified LEVEL 3 Award for Education and Training Level 3) is a big part of my art practice. My background in design and photography allows me to help people to get a better sense of visual awareness and be engaged on different levels: from composition to colour, from shapes to harmony and final visual message.
