‘I feel free, energized and excited to express, my painting is so full of possibilities and taking risks is so much part of what I do. My paintings happen as I work and it’s remarkable to feel and see my work evolve’
Margie’s paintings’ are mainly Acrylic or mixed media on either paper or board. Her work is experimental in its approach and develops as she works. Her paintings are layered and textured, painting with palette knives and rollers. Margie uses a gestural abstract style in her application of paint often working on the floor as her painting develops. She is interested in the process of painting both from conception through to application of media.
‘At this time I can’t imagine not waking up in the morning thinking about my painting.’
