Lucia Hardy
Bio:
Lucia Hardy is an artist based on the borders of London and Essex.
Her art is wild, dark and inspired by nature.
Born and raised in London into a Italian, Irish and Lithuanian family, Lucia grew up on the romance and hard truths of aspiration. Her art is influenced by themes of struggle, darkness, strength and ultimately survival in wildlife, where daily life is a battlefield, and in our own lives.
Lucia works from her garden studio under the beady eye of her crow muse (he hates her work). A self taught artist, her work is expressive, engaging and charged with emotional energy. Working in acrylic, pen and ink, charcoal, pastel and mixed media, Lucia’s style ranges from figurative, expressive and semi abstract paintings of birds and wildlife, to abstract shapes and landscapes.
Lucia currently exhibits her work with the George Farnham Gallery in Suffolk.
