Jonathon David Wilks is an English multidisciplinary artist.
Each piece of art is a time-consuming labor of love, expressing his ideas & style in the best way possible, in whichever medium suits. The process is important, time-consuming, built with purpose.
“What interests me is ‘the second look’ … Whether that is the way a painting looks different when viewed from another angle or a print that ‘makes your brain work’ to decipher opposing images.
Often building up layers of acrylic on canvas to create depth & shadows & convey movement. Or Juxtaposing images, playing with perspective & angles. Each piece necessitates a ‘second look’.
