Jon Doodle
Bio:
Working for the past two years from Walthamstow London, Jon Doodle has created a series of staggeringly detailed illustrations of iconic cities.
The hand drawn illustrations I create can take up to 150 hours to complete. Working from a series of photographs, and using Google earth/ street view, and a series of magnifying lenses, I'm able to copy hard to see detail, recreating as much accuracy as possible.
I love the way you can lose yourself in the drawing. The intensity of working at such a fine detail, means you can only work for about 4 hours before resting.
All the images are drawn to A1 size and printed A1 on 308gsm Hahnemule Photo Rag Paper. With a signed limited edition print run of only 250 A1 copies of each piece produced.
With works being sold in London, New York, and Sydney the reception of the work has been fantastic.
