Renin Bilginer
Bio:
As a woman of dual British and Turkish nationality, born and raised in London, Renin’s work is a personal exploration of her struggle to navigate between two cultures. Through a satirical feminist lens, her works are a visual interpretation of her experiences and observations of the outdated gender roles and social expectations of women in Turkey. Although the work addresses a serious subject matter, Renin’s uniquely vibrant colour palette allows her paintings and collages to retain a light-hearted and humorous quality.
