Roland Brass
Bio:
I am a digital / mixed media artist & illustrator based in London. I am 100% self-taught and draw my passions. I hope that you can see that energy flows through my artwork.
My creations generally revolve around my abstract or surreal interpretation of anything, from something I see, hear or feel... a creature, a song, a run! It's my attempt to make the everyday or ordinary extraordinary.
My Komodo Dragon was shortlisted for Sketch for Survival Introducing Artist of the Year 2019 (one of seven winners). Similarly to the Elephant, it uses the eye to capture the beast's character and to draw you into the painting.
Triangles are also a recurring theme, and for me they primarily resonate with progress and moving forward (in life or whatever it is we do). I am always intrigued to hear people's interpretations of my work.
Most of my work starts with a digital base which means it's 100% customisable, therefore I can make bespoke pieces to suit whatever you want.
Finally, I am a passionate believer of art as a form of therapy, mindfulness & healthy living and am always encouraging others to give it a go. I look forward to seeing you at the fair!
