Bio:

I create from instinct and emotion, so the deeper meanings of a piece aren’t always apparent to me at the time. I love to experiment with different media and substrates, and many of my pieces include ink or pencil drawn elements. Each individual idea gives me a different gut instinct for how it will become a piece, and which media to use. I particularly enjoy combining contrasting styles - toning with sketched elements, shading with blacks and colours, graphite with ink, and drawing with painting. My art is a form of therapy, it allows me to purge any negative experiences I carry with me. Moreover, it is a platform for me to express my feelings about the wider world and my sense of self. Philosophically I prefer asking questions to getting answers, especially questions to which an objective answer is impossible. I know all too well that inspiration can strike anywhere, and I like to recreate scenes in daily life which amuse me or affect me.
