Ruth Waldron
Bio:
I am an Irish artist living near Albi, in the south of France. After university I pursued my creative inclinations with a career in Interior Design for 17 years, working in both Ireland and the United Kingdom.
In 2009 I moved to Shanghai, China, with my husband, where I developed my painting practice, studying classical Chinese ink and watercolour painting with a Chinese artist for two years. This disciplined and formal style of painting enriched my art with a powerful sensibility that has infused my creative process.
I have a full time painting practice based at my studio near Albi. I work on paper, wood board and canvas, using acrylic, watercolour, oil pastels and ink.
