Emma Connolloy

Bio:

Hello I’m Emma,

Painter, Floral stylist, potter, photographer & curator of beautiful vintage things.

I started A Bunch Of Wild in 2017 & it has grown into a wonderful place where all my creative pursuits are combined.

Soon after I started the flower farm I opened a shop selling my art, ceramics and vintage homeware, not forgetting my seasonal flower arrangements and plants. It was in a beautiful building in Ampthill. Now my business operates from home in a studio and open cabin where I work and style my creations.

Some of my work can be seen at Woburn Mosaic gallery and you can also visit me at my studio (by appointment) to view art and attend workshops.

I create elegant, atmospheric paintings in oils and make porcelain ceramics inspired by flowers. With a background in interior design and being brought up by a grandmother who worked in the antiques industry, I have a strong eye for collecting beautiful vintage items for the home and garden which I also sell through my online shop.

Although I live in Bedfordshire I spend a huge amount of time in Suffolk where I find the landscape and quality of light inspiring! My paintings are mostly created with memories of Suffolk scenes and the sense of emotion that comes from being surrounded by such an old landscape.

I find flower’s utterly enchanting from bud to faded petals, right through to the seed heads left over. The process from seed to bloom never fails to amaze and delight me. I still grow my own flowers for seasonal arrangements, drying and styling. You can order seasonal flowers for collection or book a workshop with me.
