Bio:
Born and raised in Camden Town in the early 80’s, Benji grew up no stranger to being surrounded by an ‘alternative lifestyle’.
In the heart and home of ‘Punk Rock’, Benji absorbed what can only be described as, a creatively different and unique flare.
As an early teen, he dedicated the 20-odd years that would follow as a professional dancer, choreographer, artistic director and TV personality.
This journey would see him discover the world many times over through world tours, creative projects and his hunger and desire to grow, learn and understand other cultures, identities and disciplines.

When COVID-19 derailed the world, Benji had all his international projects cancelled and found himself for the first time homebound, ultimately forcing his hand and challenging him in how he could continue to speak his artistic language but via an alternative medium.
As a child, he would find solace sitting with a pen and many bright colours. It was a calming form of escapism and a conduit of expression for his many troubles growing up.
When he later found his feet (literally) with his dancing career, you could be sure to find him in between rehearsals, on flights or at home filling up pages in sketchbooks with creative drawings with an urban graffiti street style.
The inner child in him would resurface during lockdown and manifest itself through dancing and creating choreographies, only this time with acrylics, spray cans and pens. As a result, when the world returned to ‘business as usual’ Benji left his passport in the drawer, stayed at home and jumped down the ‘rabbit hole’ of art.
“My whole identity during and post Covid and lockdown has completely changed me in who I am and what my purpose is now. Out of choice, I haven’t taken on a single dance-related project since I’ve reconnected with my art mediums and to this day, I haven’t looked back!”
During these four years Benji has sold several original works of art and continues to invest every moment of his days rubbing his chin sat in his humble homemade studio in front of canvases, creatively filling what were once blank spaces with his love and colour.
